Issue Date: | 20-May-2011 | Citation: | HONG XIAN YE (2011-05-20). STUDY OF THE APPLICATION OF THE SINGLE COIL TWIN FAN SYSTEM ON THE VARIOUS AIR DISTRIBUTION METHODS. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | The study examines the application of the Single Coil Twin Fan system on the various air distribution methods such as Personalised Ventilation System, Displacement Ventilation System, Ceiling Supply Mixing Ventilation System as well as Underfloor Air Distribution System. Thermal performance of the Single Coil Twin Fan system will be assessed in detail as well as drawing comparisons and accounting for the differences between the thermal comfort and indoor air quality of the spaces served by these air distribution methods. This study is conducted with reference to the 3rd storey of the Building and Construction Authority’s Zero-Energy Building. Simulation of data through overwriting the existing Building Automation System and survey questionnaire are carried out to achieve better understanding of the impact of the Single Coil Twin Fan system on the indoor air quality and thermal comfort of the ZEB. Limitations of the study are discussed with proposed recommendations to help further enhance indoor air quality and thermal comfort for occupants in the ZEB. | URI: | https://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/220818 |
