Abstract: With the Workplace Injury Rate (WIR), Workplace Fatality Rate (WFR), Accident Frequency Rate (AFR) and Accident Severity Rate (ASR) of construction industry hovering above the national levels, it is important to investigate the safety management in construction industry in Singapore. This research will focus on the company safety frameworks and perspectives of stakeholders in construction industry of Singapore. The objectives for this research are to find out whether different construction companies in Singapore have its individual company safety framework and determine whether these company safety frameworks will influence the success of safety management in construction industry of Singapore. Furthermore, this research will identify the stakeholders and determine whether the stakeholders will influence the success of safety management in construction industry. The success of safety managements is defined as Workplace Injury Rate (WIR), Workplace Fatality Rate (WFR), Accident Frequency Rate (AFR), Accident Severity Rate (ASR) and Prevalence of Safety Culture (PSC). Hence, the aim of this research is to determine whether different company safety framework and perspectives of stakeholders will influence the success of safety management in construction industry. Surveys and Case-studies were conducted for this research. 360 surveys were sent and 42 surveys were received. One-sample T-tests were performed and the results found out that the company safety frameworks as well as different stakeholders do influence the safety management in construction industry. It was also found out that Main Contractor, Project Manager and Government Agencies and regulatory bodies have higher influence as compared to other stakeholders whereas Quantity Surveyor has the least influence. Pearson Correlation is performed and found that different company safety frameworks have significant relationship with the safety management in construction industry. Interviews were conducted for two case-studies and the information gathered further agreed that the company safety framework and perspectives of stakeholders do influence the safety management in construction industry. However, there are some limitations for this research. The main limitations are low response rates and subjective information gathered.
