Abstract: As rising energy consumption has becoming a major issue around the world. Every country is making an effort to tackle it using various ways. Many works and studies have been done in the aspect of energy saving in building management systems. In the industry, researchers often focus on energy consumption and energy efficiency on building life cycle. One method that we decided to adopt is through a Green energy monitoring system remotely record dynamic real time energy consumption of different components on construction site with sensor system and study the energy consumption trend based on earned value method on the construction site so to monitor and identify the energy consumption pattern of major equipment. This not only provides us with the opportunity of saving energy in the future, it also allows the study of the project scheduling in a new perspective as these two are inter-related which found in our study.
