Title: | COVALENT ORGANIC FRAMEWORKS/POLYMERS OR DERIVATIVES FOR ELECTRO-/PHOTO-CATALYSIS | Authors: | ZENG JIAN | Keywords: | covalent organic frameworks; photocatalysis; electrocatalysis | Issue Date: | 20-Aug-2021 | Citation: | ZENG JIAN (2021-08-20). COVALENT ORGANIC FRAMEWORKS/POLYMERS OR DERIVATIVES FOR ELECTRO-/PHOTO-CATALYSIS. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | In Chapter 1, a brief review on the recent development of different types of conjugated COFs and their applications for photocatalysis and electrocatalysis is presented. In Chapter 2, we report the synthesis of a new all-triazine C3N3 framework starting from commercially available 2,4,6-tricyano-1,3,5-triazine via triflic acid mediated polymerization in solution followed by ionothermal treatment in ZnCl2. Complexation of C3N3 with FeCl3 followed by reduction gave the Fe3O4/C3N3 composite. Subsequent pyrolysis of the composite afforded the iron nanoparticle-encapsulated, nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes. In Chapter 3, we report a new strategy by covalently linking the cobalt(III) corrole and cobalt(II) porphyrin catalysts onto a semiconducting graphidyne film through nucleophilic substitution reaction. In Chapter 4, three benzophenone-based polymers and COFs with visible light absorption were synthesized either by cyclotrimerization of acetylenic ketones or by Aldol condensation reaction. | URI: | https://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/208359 |
