dc.description.abstract | This paper discusses a previously developed computational model, CLIP (Computational support for Lifecycle Integral Performance assessment) in the context of a current project, Energy Performance Integration in Corporate Public Real Estate Management (EPI-CREM). CLIP is a reference model that functions as a conceptual core, addressing the generic performance assessment functions with modular and extensible data representations and algorithms. EPI-CREM, on the other hand, is a public funded project that develops methods and tools to improve energy efficiency and rational use of energy across public building stocks within the EU Member States contributing to better standards of work processes and global environmental benefits (EPI-CREM 2007). We build upon the existing CLIP core model for the EPI-CREM context, with the aim of developing an implementation model and software tool to be used in real-life EPI-CREM processes. As such, we will evaluate CLIP core model's flexibility and extensibility, and its ability to be adapted to contextual settings that were previously unknown, and thus not taken into account. | |
