Abstract: This thesis contains two parts, the first parts focused on the bioactivities of natural flavonoids including findings of structure-activities relationship with 3D QSAR model, mechanism study from reaction products characterization and quantification of ROS scavenging capacity with synthesized molecular probe, while the second part is on biomimetic synthesis of flavonoids oligomers with oxygen mediated oxidative coupling, mechanism study of this novel coupling reaction and the bioactivity study for these compounds.
