Abstract: Recent developments in Internet Technology have prompted many real estate firms in Singapore to set up corporate websites on the World Wide Web (WWW). The volume and variety of such sites have increased significantly over the past few years. In an attempt to allow potential buyers the convenience to view residential projects that are launched, developers now include information of their current projects on their website. This is somewhat similar to the printed brochures given out at the open houses. However, a close examination of these sites reveals that many do not contain user-friendly features. This exploratory study examines the factors that contributes to a high quality real estate marketing website. While this paper does not provide a definitive answer, it does provide an initial step in the creation of such a standard. A list of top ten most important quality indicators is presented in Chapter Six. The results of this study also highlight specific factors to assist future researchers in developing further studies in this area.
