MAGNETISM MANIPULATION IN LANTHANUM STRONTIUM MANGANITE (LA0.67SR0.33MNO3) / LEAD ZIRCONATE TITANATE (PBZR1-x TIxO3) HETEROSTRUCTURES BY MAGNETOELECTRIC COUPLING. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | Multiferroic heterostructures stimulate great interests in terms of potential applications for multifunctional devices and fundamental interface physics for magnetism and magnetoelectric coupling. Interfacial complexity and strong correlation among spin, charge, orbital and lattice degree of freedom give rise to novel phenomena and raise new questions to the underlying mechanisms and physics. La1-xSrxMnO3/PbZr1-yTiyO3 heterostructures, as a typical multiferroic system with strong magnetoelectric coupling effect, are investigated for the self-polarization induced novel phenomena and underlying physics of magnetism manipulation and its relationship to magnetoelectric (ME) coupling. The results reflect the self-polarization effect on the interfacial charge and orbital reconstructions and the induced phenomena including ferromagnetic insulator and tuneable magnetic coupling further help understand the relationship between the electron orbital and exchange interaction. | URI: | https://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/186440 |
