Abstract: A lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) has been developed for modelling viscoelastic flows involving drops and bubbles. The deformation and breakup of shear-driven viscoelastic drop are simulated and analyzed. The bubble velocity discontinuity (BVD) in viscoelastic fluids is simulated and the mechanism is summarized. The LBM solver shows great potential in modelling viscoelastic flows involving drops and bubbles.
