《韩非子》中的话题结构及相关问题研究 = RESEARCH ON TOPIC STRUCTURES AND RELATED ISSUES IN HANFEIZI

Abstract

Topic phenomenon in Chinese has been widely concerned since it was discovered by Mr. Zhao Yuanren (1947), and the current research is relatively single: scholars of ancient times either discuss its relationship with the subject, its discourse and its pragmatic function at the pragmatic level; Either focus on its formal features (topic markers) at the syntactic level and demonstrate its syntactic bits. However, few people have broken the barrier between pragmatics and syntax and integrated them into a unified perspective. In the same way, questions such as assertion sentence, pronoun “Qi”(其) and pronoun “Zhi”（之）are often considered independently in their own systems (sentence structure/pronoun). This paper makes a comprehensive extraction and observation of topic structures in Hanfeizi under the framework of sentence patterns, and makes an observation and analysis of the problem of assertion sentence, pronoun “Qi”and pronoun “Zhi”from the perspective of topic.
