Abstract: Input-Output Tables are concerned with the economic structure and linkages of an economy. The economic structure refers to the relative composition of the various economic sectors while linkages reveal the intersectoral relationships. The published 1988 Input-Output Tables by the Department of Statistic, Singapore, does not disaggregate the real estate component from the non-real estate component. Instead, the real estate component has been aggregated within the broad Financial & Business Services sector. The purpose of this study is to disaggregate the Real Estate sector from the Financial & Business Services sector. At the same time, the importance of the Real Estate sector in the economy is analyzed.
