Abstract: With the increase in problems related to car travel in Singapore every year, public transport is becoming a more desirable mode of travel. For long distance travel within Singapore, the MRT is most preferred. However, there is still a need for buses to supplement travel on the MRT, especially in new towns away from the city centre. This project involves the design of a bus network in Yishun Town. EMME/2, a transportation planning package was used In modelling the network and analysing the results obtained from trip assignment. Based on the simulation results, several scenarios were developed to modify the network and bus operation for better passenger service.
