Abstract: There has been a growing awareness on the importance of lease management recently. As building design and services become more complex, an equally high level of sophistication in lease management is required. In this dissertation, a case study is carried out on the leasing system in a complex and special building - Changi Airport Passenger Terminals. The aim of the study is to look into various aspects of lease management and how it contributes to the success of retailing in an airport. The success of retailing is more than simply the cluster of individual stores on separate lots. Preplanned layout and a unified operation give added appeal in creating a favourable image. A very high standard of lease management is achieved in the Passenger Terminals, through systematic planning and controlling of leasing activities.
