Abstract: This research examines the host country determinants of foreign entry mode pattern in the case study of China. Integrating Hirsch-Rugman model, eclectic theory framework and control perspective, the basic hypothesis claims that the determination of a foreign entry mode pattern is composed of three inter-related processes. Therefore, nine variables that influence foreign entry mode pattern have been examined. The empirical findings are generally consistent with our hypotheses.
