Abstract: High efficient separation of chemicals and biochemicals was performed by conventional capillary electrophoresis and microfabricated glass chips. A simple and efficient buffer system was developed for the separation of SDS-peptides complexes on the basis of molecular weight. The results were compared with those obtained by traditional slab-gel electrophoresis. The molecular weights of two proteines were tested by this system. Satisfactory separation of some fluorescent samples, porphyrins and FITC Antihuman IgG, was obtained in microfabricated glass chips and short capillary. A comparison was made of the results obtained in short capillary and glass chips.
