Abstract: Talking and family have always been taken-for-granted in our daily life. We talk about our family and our family relations as if they are immutable categories and facts. In the course of talking, "reality" is created. The thesis focuses on understanding aspects of "family works" through the examination of in-laws relations by deconstructing the social categories that emerged out of "talk" about the family and family relations.
