Issue Date: | 1992 | Citation: | TAN GIM KEOW WINNIE (1992). LEASE MANAGEMENT OF GLENEAGLES MEDICAL CENTRE. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | It is often held that hospitals and medical centres require minimal focus on lease management as the attention falls on health care. This dissertation seeks to dispel such a perception by applying rigorous marketing and leasing strategies to the case study, Gleneagles Medical Centre. Since seeking lucrative investments is the chief objective of the proper ty-based firm. Parkway Holdings Limited (the holding company of Gleneagles Medical Centre Limited), its move to redevelop and extend the existing medical centre and subsequently, launch the sale of suites in the new medical centre provides an interesting opportunity to analyze lease management decisions of a medical centre. In addition to the study of marketing strategy, a corresponding study on leasing strategy would further assist Parkway Holdings Limited in achieving the long term objectives of securing substantial market share in the medical facilities field and earning a fair return on its investment. This research discussed the four marketing mix elements and various activities of leasing. Views from the landlord / owner as well as the existing tenants were also solicited to determine areas of improvement to the present and proposed lease management practices of G1eneag1es Medical Centre Limited. Recommendations on lease management were also offered by the writer for application to the new medical centre. | URI: | https://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/173408 |
