Citation: TEO ENG SING (1974). ANALYSIS OF LEAD IN TAP WATER. ScholarBank@NUS Repository.
Abstract: The Ion-exchange and solvent extraction has been employed as methods for the determination the level of Pb present in the tap water. From the spectra of complex formed by dithizone and lead, it is revealed that the amount of Pb present is 10-4 to 10-5 p.p.m. This is below the 10-2 p.p.m recommended by the World Health Organization as the maximum allowable for drinking water.
