Abstract: There are many problems troubling the economies today, non of which features as frequently in the works and speeches of economists, politicians and others alike, as unemployment and inflation. They do not occur only in underdeveloped countries alone but is found in developed industries too. Singapore is fortunate in being able to keep unemployment and inflation under control. Thus, this exercise attempts to find out answers as to how Singapore is able to do so. It is hope that this exercise could be of some help to those economies which is searching for a way out of a stagflation situation and to those scholars that are doing research along the same theme.
