Title: CROSS-SECTIONAL ANALYSIS OF CAR USE IN SINGAPORE
Authors: GOH ENG ENG
Issue Date: 1995
Citation: GOH ENG ENG (1995). CROSS-SECTIONAL ANALYSIS OF CAR USE IN SINGAPORE. ScholarBank@NUS Repository.
Abstract: A disaggregate modal choice modelling investigation of travel to work using the household ( 1988) data in Singapore is reported. Its aim is to establish quantitatively factors affecting car use to work. Models were calibrated from the data provided by PWD Transport Survey. The best fit model was used to investigate the effect of various changes, such as in-vehicle travelling time and journey start time on the modal split. Implications of the findings, together with some more general aspects of disaggregate modal choice modelling, are discussed.
