Abstract: Ratner's theorems describe the probability measures on homogeneous spaces which are ergodic under unipotent flows. The first half of this thesis aims to discuss some properties of unipotent flows on homogeneous spaces. In the second half, we classify invariant currents on Lie groups. This is the first step towards a new proof of Ratner's theorems using the theory of currents.
