Abstract: The Japanese government has been struggling to find strategies to revamp its national economy. It has implemented a number of fiscal and monetary policies since early 1990s, but the country still continues to struggle to pull itself out of economic stagnation. “Cool Japan” was one of Japan’s latest strategies, which aimed to utilize its national soft power that fits into Japan’s post-industrial era
