Abstract: The demolition of buildings and structures are inevitable for economic developments. As such, it becomes necessary to understand the works that are involved in the demolition industry. This dissertation gives an account of the methods and equipments that are used in the present market. To illustrate these points, detailed case study was carried out, one by the traditional ball and crane system, in which it examined the work that were carried out on site. This chapter comprises of critical studies on the technology and its limitation as applied to a different site conditions. In this regards, the explosive technology, a conventional demolition system were also assessed in a much similar aspects. In order that a beneficial recommendation can be made for a particular site, a comprehensive comparison and contrast is carried out.
