Abstract: The objectives of this study are to examine how the various professionals in the real estate industry are faring with the management of information in this current information era. The study also considers the extent to which computers are assisting the professionals in the management of information in Singapore. Currently both the public and private sectors maintain both manual and computerised information systems. They ranged from the use of a simple micro-computer to sophisticated computer mainframe systems with tremendous storage capacity and fast efficient and comprehensive retrieval capabilities. This study also examined to a limited extent the relationship between the organization structure and activities of particular organisation to the management of information. The study reveals that computers are becoming more and more indispensable in the management of information. Professionals in the real estate industry should seriously consider upgrading themselves to utilise this tool in the management of information for greater efficiency and productivity.
