Abstract: The whole idea of risk analysis is not simply limited to avoid risk, because it is present in almost all investments, but rather to be skilled at identifying it, managing it and controlling it. Success in the expanding and complex Singapore real estate market is a challenge, involving inter-disciplinary professional input and co-ordination. It calls for sound planning and management expertise especially in dealing with the element of risk. This dissertation presents a basic understanding of the various theories and principles involved. It also illustrates its use with a modern technique, the Monte Carlo Simulation available in a property development context by way if a case study.
