Abstract: With no known data about Reflexivity among Social Work Practitioners in Singapore, this is an exploratory qualitative study using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) that interviewed 10 practitioners about their experiences with incorporating Reflexivity in practice. Face-to-face semi-structured interviews were conducted, and data were analyzed using IPA analysis. Findings suggested that Reflexivity can be understood as the overarching idea of modus vevendi or a ‘way of life’ which engenders developing certain reflexive capabilities that can be incorporated into the reflection process, in practice and extending to their personal lives. The study suggested the EMPOWER process of developing reflexive capabilities which can inform practice. Implications for practice, education and future research were discussed.
