Issue Date: | 12-Apr-2019 | Citation: | NICOLE WONG YUE RUAN (2019-04-12). THE ROLE OF DISGUST AND OBSESSIVE-COMPULSIVE DISORDER (OCD) SYMPTOMS IN A NON-CLINICAL SAMPLE. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | Disgust is a common emotion present in many disorders such as obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), but the mechanisms of disgust remains understudied. Hence, there is a need to improve our understanding of disgust. Recent theoretical advances (Ludvik et al., 2015) suggest that counterconditioning (pairing the conditioned stimulus with a pleasant stimulus) may be more effective in reducing disgust than exposure. | URI: | https://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/159771 |
