The issue of climate change has become increasingly politicized and controversial in recent years. In 2015, Singapore made official its intention to work towards a 36 percent emissions reduction by 2030 compared to 2005 levels by submitting its Intended Nationally Determined Contribution (INDC) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. This case study provides a basis for discussion about Singapore's role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and climate change.
