Abstract: The cell cycle of the budding yeast, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, is regulated by a complex network of interacting proteins, genes, and small molecules, in which, the most important components are cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs), cyclins, and proteins that activate or inactivate other proteins. In this thesis, the molecular interaction map of budding yeast has been constructed, based on biological knowledge and literature review. Following the interaction map, a fuzzy logic based model is newly developed to modeling the interactions among the controlling molecules. Based on the proposed model, simulations for the G1/S transition stage are carried out to predict the systematic behaviors of the cell cycle. Feasible results were obtained according to publication reported
