Title: | Ambuklao Hydroelectric Power Plant Clean Development Mechanism Project | Authors: | XU, SONG | Keywords: | CDM Kyoto Protocol CER ACM0002 Hydro power plants repowering |
Issue Date: | 2007 | Citation: | XU, SONG (2007). Ambuklao Hydroelectric Power Plant Clean Development Mechanism Project. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | The work is for Ambuklao Hydroelectric Power Plant CDM project, where CDM is a flexible mechanism under Kyoto Protocol to reduce Greenhouse Gases. This dissertation establishes the mathematical and financial models for the project. The mathematical model is set up according to ACM0002, ‘Consolidated baseline methodology for grid-connected electricity generation from renewable sources’, a methodology approved by UN. Both Operational Margin Emission Factor and Build Margin Emission Factor are crucial to computing Emission Reductions. The data used to estimate the emission factors is collected from published resources. For a 76.5 MW capacity power plant, repowering will generate ex-ante 148,758 tCO2e/year. Financial model is established, including both NPV-IRR analysis and sensitivity analysis (or scenario analysis). Various CDM related financial information have been collected according to both published resources and market observations. Unfortunately, due to the property of the work done, much financial information is not allowed to be further disclosed. | URI: | https://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/153874 |
