Abstract: The oxidative degradation of natural rubber and polyisoprene rubber were studied by differential scanning calorimetry. The outset of oxidative degradation of polyisoprene rubber was found to occur at lower temperature as compared with natural rubber. The addition of PBNA delayed the oxidation of both natural rubber and polyisoprene rubber. The activation enrgy of oxidation of both rubbers were estimated using three thermal methods. No correlation was found between the magnitude of activation energy and the amount of PBNA added
