Abstract: Design stage, as a complicated stage during the start of a building delivery process, serves as an important stage where all information and data is compiled and reviewed to produce an expected satisfactory built environment, especially in large-scale projects where complexity of design and construction arise proportional to their size. Although technical calculation can provide a quite secure base for decision-making in design process, assumptions and predictions are highly involved since actual construction is not existent yet. Decision-making in order to get the best compromised result between parameters constitute for a desirable built environment is usually made based on human intuitive ability. In this paper, fuzzy logic as a branch of artificial intelligence is employed as a device to assist decision-makers produce reliable and logical results in decision-making during design stage. The ability of fuzzy system to deal with human's vague expression to get the best-compromised result will be very suitable in evaluating design proposals. With fuzzy decision-making, any decision is made based on objective and consistent manner so that final decision will yields to the best expected development project and any loss can be avoided.
