Abstract: This dissertation provides an overview on the performance of the raised floor and the ceiling based air conditioning system. The performance is based on the temperature and velocity graphical profiles plotted and a detail comparison on the level of integration between the raised floor and the ceiling based air-conditioning system with other systems. Three case studies have been carried out. The temperatures and velocities were measured on site and tabulated. The data were plotted in a 3-Dimensional horizontal plane and 2-Dimensional vertical plane graphical profiles. It is shown that the raised floor system has a better heat extraction rate than the ceiling based system. However the velocity profiles for both systems are able to comply with the stipulated draft velocity of not more than 0.25 m/s at 1.5 meter above ground. The raised floor air supplied system has a better level of integration than the ceiling supplied system.
