IDEAL FUTURE INTELLIGENT BUILDING

Abstract

This dissertation presents the view about the ideal future intelligent building that satisfies our global community which includes animals, plants, soil, water, air and have requirements, obligation and responsibility, and also satisfy human needs. Most of current intelligent buildings are provided with technology-oriented function, management system. However, this technology still requires lots of improvement to properly function as planned. Furthermore, we can find out more deficiency of these current intelligent building idea and technology, which will remind us of the olden time of automobile industry. When we are in a working place, sitting to do our job, we do not feel the comfort, privacy and being able to have our needs within reach. Now, automobile industry is far more advanced than building industry. However, it is also noted that buildings can create new urban environment. It affects the earth life cycle, ecocycle and human life cycle. The automobile industry does not largely impact these cycles unlike the building structures. Therefore, we investors, planners, builders and users of these buildings, have to be very careful and knowledgeable to understand our nature, ecosystem, life supporting system of the earth and the global community which lives and helps each other to maintain sound and healthy environment. And we also have to learn from automobile industry, plant leaves, human body function and the nature to create new technology, new material, comprehensive building diagnosis technology to monitor total building performances. Additionally, we have to completely understand that we are part of the nature and the human is a combination of a body and a spirit. Buildings have to provide function to fill human needs while nature, landscape, sensible place and culture to fill human state of mind which will give the possibility of an enjoyable pure life. Future ideal intelligent building is the only way to arise in learning from our current human errors, environment defects, nature, human skin, plant leaves structure and relation of human body and soul, attitude to global community and maintenance of a healthy and sound global ecosystem. Considering the above, the ideal future intelligent building should be self sustainable integrated intelligent building.
