Abstract: The terrestrial molluscs of Singapore have been investigated. 24 species and 20 genera, belonging to 9 families have been collected and documented o Of the~e, all have been identified to generic level and 20 to specmfic level . Including the records of the National Museum of Singapore and those from literature, 7 species of terrestrial molluscs have been recorded from Singapore . Of these , there are 6 genera , namely , Cyclotus Guilding , Achatina Lamarck , Huttonella Pfeiffer, Dyakia Godwin- Austen, Nanina Gray, and Hemiplecta Albers o Oescriptions and illustrations to the 23 spec'ies found , including one species , Gullela Huttonella) bicolor which has not been collected , but recorded in l iterature , and a Key to the species are provided . The gross anatomy of Semperula variegatula (Simroth) is described and an account of the economic aspects of the ter restrial molluscs of Singapore is also given.
