战国初期儒家思想研究--从郭店楚简〈五行〉溯源 = In search of Confucian ideas in early warring-states - The case of the "Wuxing" chapter from Guodian Chu bamboo slips

Abstract

Besides the exordium and conclusion, this dissertation consists of three sections. The first section aims to prove that the a??Wu Xinga?? chapter belonged to a series of works from Zi Si. The argument is marshalled from four perspectivesa??burial date, tomb owner, shapes and calligraphic style of the writing on the bamboo slips, as well as the relationship between a??Wu Xinga?? and Zhong Yong. The second section traces the development of certain philosophical ideas and teaching practices back to Confucius and his disciples, particularly Zeng Zi and Zi Si in order to demonstrate the intellectual link between early Confucian thought and the a??Wu Xinga?? chapter. The last section focuses on the mutual influence and intellectual lineage between Confucius, Zeng Zi and a??Wu Xinga?? by examining the ideas of the mind and solitude articulated by these early Confucian thinkers.
