Abstract: In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is one of the major ways to treat infertility. In recent years, it has gained much attention and popularity among young working women for freezing their healthy eggs in order to continue stay in their workforce. In this project, a digital IVF flushing and aspiration unit is invented so as to assist doctors in oocyte retrieval process and reduce the occurrences of operation failure due to human error. In this thesis, three main areas are deeply studied. Firstly, controller for flushing of follicular medium is investigated; next, a comprehensive design for retrieving of follicles is introduced. Lastly, a test tube warmer for keeping retrieved oocytes is designed. For each of the area, safety features are carefully considered in order to increase the success rate of IVF operation. In addition, documentations for patent application as well as for various certifications are also presented and prepared for possible clinical trials and commercialization.
