Abstract: Intrauterine administration of Prostaglandin 15 (S) 15 methyl E2 methyl ester was successfully used to evacuate the uterus in 20 patients with a hydatidiform mole. 15 patients aborted with a single intrauterine dose of 30 μg of the analogue and 5 were given a second dose 8 hr later. The interval between the first dose to expulsion of the hydatidiform mole ranged from 2 3/4 hr to 16 hr with a mean of 9 hr 4 min for the 20 patients.
