dc.description.abstract | A 40-year-old woman was diagnosed to have a right paraoesophageal cyst by computed tomographic (CT) scan and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). We describe the successful excision of the cyst thoracoscopically. Postoperative recovery was rapid and uneventful. Histopathological examination showed the cyst to be bronchogenic in origin. Bronchogenic cysts are rare anomalies in the development of the tracheobronchial tree that are usually excised by thoracotomy. | |
