|Title:||Formation of sodium cluster ions in electrospray mass spectrometry||Authors:||Zhou, S.
|Issue Date:||1996||Citation:||Zhou, S., Hamburger, M. (1996). Formation of sodium cluster ions in electrospray mass spectrometry. Rapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry 10 (7) : 797-800. ScholarBank@NUS Repository.||Abstract:||A series of sodium cluster ions, such as Na+(NaCl)n, Na+(HCOONa)n and Na+(HCOONa)n1(CH3COONa)n2, were observed in electrospray mass spectrometry. These results support the electrophoretic separation mechanism for excess ions at droplet surface, and the charged residue model for gas phase ion formation from highly-charged droplets. © 1996 by John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.||Source Title:||Rapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry||URI:||http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/131477||ISSN:||09514198|
