dc.description.abstractThe argument for arriving at a win-win situation for India and the United Kingdom through greater international cooperation on migration, a specific definition of 'a global Indian' or 'a global migrant' could be framed. It could be based on fulfillment of two specific conditions: a 'necessary condition' of global geo-economic presence of the Indian knowledge workers; and a 'sufficient condition' of India deriving sustainable benefits from the global geo-economic presence of its highly skilled migrants. The first condition seems to have been fulfilled. Satisfying the second condition however must be directed towards the removal of two kinds of poverty in India: of education and health.
