dc.description.abstract | A BSL lecture on chemical engineering education delivered by W.R. Schowalter, at the University of Wisconsin on October 2, 2001, is presented. He asserts that a step in the right direction would be an articulation by government research-supporting agencies of the importance to them of research results and the advanced education of graduate students. It is noted that chemical engineering education is often conducted within the environment of a research university, which itself is a dynamic institution. He emphasises that the developments of momentum, energy and mass transfer found in Transport Phenomena I are intact in the second edition, Transport Phenomena II. | |
