dc.description.abstractA variational perturbative method is established to calculate the energy levels of impurity magnetopolarons in parabolic quantum wires for arbitrary values of electron-phonon coupling constant α, Rydberg constant R, frequency of the parabolic potential ω and cyclotron frequency ωc. Numerical results are derived and discussed for the energies of the ground state and the first excited state. © 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
