Delivering cognitive behavioural intervention for emotional disorders in children and young people with autism spectrum disorders: A survey of current practice among South London & Maudsley psychologists

Abstract

Although the high prevalence of mental health problems in individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) is increasingly recognised, there remains a lack of evidence-based assessment and treatment methods to guide clinical practice. This service evaluation identified current practices among 12 child clinical psychologists across the South London & Maudsley NHS trust, and identified targets for future research and clinical practice.
