An annotated checklist of the gorgonians (Anthozoa: Octocorallia) of Singapore, with a discussion of gorgonian diversity in the Indo-West Pacific

Abstract

Previously published taxonomic descriptions or faunal lists of the gorgonian fauna of Singapore are combined with newly collected material. An annotated checklist of 31 gorgonian species from 12 genera (and 6 families) collected from reef sites around Singapore is presented together with colour plates (including in situ photographs) of each species to facilitate the use of this paper as a guide for field identification.
