Abstract: Fast optical phase shifters and switches based on electro-optical materials are in widespread use. However, fast bulk or integrated optics devices typically work only for one polarization. We present a low-loss polarization independent device with a switching time of 1.6 ns at 100kHz repetition rate based on a Sagnac topology.
