dc.description.abstractComputer-assisted content-based indexing is a critical enabling technology for the retrieval and distribution in video editing, production, video-on-demand and multimedia information systems. To achieve this, a system that provides the ability to store and retrieve video is required which allows flexible and efficient search based on content. The Institute of Systems Science has developed such a system for video parsing, indexing and retrieval based on video content.
