Abstract: Objective: Metabolic profiling of small molecules offers a snapshot of physiological processes. To identify metabolic signatures associated with type 2 diabetes and impaired fasting glucose (IFG) beyond differences in glucose, we used mass spectrometry-based metabolic profiling.
