Title: | Diffusion-weighted MR imaging in early diagnosis and prognosis of hypoglycemia | Authors: | Lo, L. Tan, A.C.H. Umapathi, T. Lim, C.C. |
Issue Date: | Jun-2006 | Citation: | Lo, L.,Tan, A.C.H.,Umapathi, T.,Lim, C.C. (2006-06). Diffusion-weighted MR imaging in early diagnosis and prognosis of hypoglycemia. American Journal of Neuroradiology 27 (6) : 1222-1224. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | We describe 2 cases of diffusion-weighted (DW) MR imaging in hypoglycemic coma. One patient, with diffuse cortical lesions, had a poor outcome, but the other, with transient white matter abnormalities, made a complete recovery. The distinctive patterns of DW MR imaging abnormalities in hypoglycemic patients should be recognized and may be a predictor of clinical outcome. | Source Title: | American Journal of Neuroradiology | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/108342 | ISSN: | 01956108 |
