|Title:||Some properties of the trehalase from the digestive gland of the green mussel, Perna viridis L.||Authors:||Teo, L.H.
|Issue Date:||1991||Citation:||Teo, L.H.,Lim, E.H. (1991). Some properties of the trehalase from the digestive gland of the green mussel, Perna viridis L.. Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology -- Part B: Biochemistry and 99 (3) : 489-494. ScholarBank@NUS Repository.||Abstract:||1. 1. Trehalase (α,α-trehalose glucohydrolase, EC 188.8.131.52) was extracted from the digestive gland of Perna viridis to study its properties. 2. 2. Temperature did not have any effect on optimum pH. The optimum temperature, activation energy, Q10 and Michaelis' constant were determined. 3. 3. The effects of high temperature (50°C) and buffers on the stability and activity of trehalase were also studied. © 1991.||Source Title:||Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology -- Part B: Biochemistry and||URI:||http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/106896||ISSN:||03050491|
